A HORIZON OF RHYOLITIC CHERTY TUFFITE LIES NEAR THE TOP OF THE SEQUENCE AND IS CAPPED BY A WELL-BEDDED SEQUENCE OF ARGILL- ACEOUS VOLCANICS. TO THE NORTH AND SOUTH OF THE CLAIMS THE VOLCANICS AND SEDIMENTS ARE CUT BY INTRUSIONS OF DIORITIC COMPOSITION. DISSEMINATED PYRITE, PYRRHOTITE, CHALCOPYRITE AND SPHALERITE WITH HIGH VALUES OF LEAD, SILVER, GOLD, MERCURY, BARIUM AND ARSENIC LOCATED TO DATE APPEAR TO OCCUR MAINLY AS STOCKWORKS THUS SUGGESTING AN EPIGENETIC ORIGIN.
