Geological Summary
THE LONGWORTH CLAIMS ARE UNDERLAIN BY LOWER SILURIAN CLASTIC SEDIMENTS INCLUDING SOME CARBONATES. THE SEDIMENTS DIP STEEPLY NORTHEAST. A DISCONTINUOUS QUARTZITE HORIZON ALONG BEARPAW RIDGE CONTAINS FEW CONTAMINANTS OTHER THAN MICA- RICH PEGMATITE VEINS AND MINOR HEMATITE AND IS CHEMICALLY SUITABLE FOR SILICON METAL PRODUCTION.
