THE CLAIM AREA IS UNDERLAIN BY TRIASSIC KARMUTSEN FORMATION ROCKS OF THE VANCOUVER GROUP. THE ROCKS CONSIST OF THOLEIITIC BASALTS WITH INTERBEDDED CALCAREOUS SEDIMENTS AND MARBLE OF THE KUNGA FORMATION WHICH ARE INTRUDED BY DIORITE SILLS. APPROXIMATELY SIXTEEN SKARN PODS CONSISTING OF MAGNETITE, PYRITE, PYRRHOTITE AND CHALCOPYRITE ARE SPORADICALLY DISTRIBUTED, STRUCTURALLY CON- TROLLED, SMALL (20 METRES BY 20 METRES X 20 METRES) AND CONTAIN VARIABLE GOLD VALUES.
