THE CHEM PROPERTY IS UNDERLAIN BY NORTHWEST- TRENDING PALEOZOIC SICKER GROUP ROCKS (MYRA FORMATION AND SEDIMENT-SILL UNIT), JURASSIC ISLAND INTRUSION GRANODIORITE TO DIORITE, AND CRETACEOUS NANAIMO GROUP SEDIMENTS. SULPHIDE MINERALIZATION AND MULTI-ELEMENT GEOCHEMICAL ANOMALIES OCCUR ON PRIMARY LAYERING AND/OR SHEAR ZONES IN SICKER ROCKS INCLUDING VOLCANICS, VOLCANICLASTICS, MANGANESE-BEARING SEDIMENTS, CHERTY TUFF, ARGILL- ITE AND AURIFEROUS MAGNETITE/PYRITE-BEARING HORIZONS.
