THE CLAIMS ARE UNDERLAIN BY PALEOZOIC SICKER GROUP VOLCANICS WHERE MYRA FORMATION INTERMEDIATE TO FELSIC VOLCANICS OCCUR WITHIN TWO WESTERLY- TRENDING, FAULT-BOUNDED BELTS SEPARATED BY BASALT- IC VOLCANICS OF THE NITINAT FORMATION. MINERAL- IZATION CONSISTS OF GOLD-BEARING PYRITIC QUARTZ VEINS THAT OCCUR IN A SHEAR ZONE. A STRONG COIN- CIDENT INDUCED POLARIZATION AND VLF CONDUCTOR WAS IDENTIFIED.
