Geological Summary
The claims are underlain by grey-black and green schists of the Cambrian-Devonian Lower and Upper Index Formation. The schists are folded and faulted by regional tectonism, and now comprise a portion of the mapped Kootenay Lake anticline. All rocks have undergone regional metamorphism of low to medium grades. A fracture-controlled quartz vein at the old Grizzly workings hosts local pyrite, chalcopyrite and tetrahedrite mineralization. The vein has been traced for 60 metres north and south in a 175/90 degree fault zone.
