The claim is underlain by the Cambrian-Devonian Lardeau Group of rocks consisting of alternating zones of schists and quartzites which are intruded by Jurassic-Cretaceous diorite dykes and sills. One small showing of magnetite associated with a diorite intrusive was encountered.
