Geological Summary
Northwest trending metasedimentary and metavolcanic rocks of Paleozoic (?) age are enveloped by a foliated to gneissic grano- diorite to quartz diorite, batholith. One, in part two, concordant massive sulphide schist bands, averaging 1 metre wide, are exposed on strike for 300 metres over a vertical range of 170 metres. The bands trend 145 degrees/80 degrees southwest between a hanging-wall quartzite and footwall quartz-muscovite or hornblende-biotite-quartz schist unit some 20-30 metres northeast of the batholith contact.
