Geological Summary
A sequence of Devonian-Mississippian Eagle Bay Formation mafic volcanics and volcaniclastics interbedded with siliceous exhalites, argillites and greywackes is overturned. The sequence strikes north- west and dips 30 to 60 degrees northeast. Massive sulphide-barite mineralization is hosted by siliceous exhalite at or close to the contact between mafic volcanic and sedimentary rocks.
