Geological Summary
Quartz veining and shearing with subsequent mineralization are common in Purcell Group folded, faulted and metamorphosed sedimentary rocks consisting of Aldridge Formation and Creston Formation siltites, quartzites and argillites and Moyie metadiorite sills. Old workings show several narrow, high grade gold-silver veins. Some reported values are 126.8 grams gold per tonne, 3959.3 grams silver per tonne and 4.11 per cent copper.
