Geological Summary
Two or more massive pyrite lenses occur in high-grade metamorphic rocks of the Central Gneiss Complex; a volcanic component suggests a volcanogenic origin. The massive sulphides are coarse, granular pyrite with variable amounts of interstitial chalcopyrite, sphalerite, pyrrhotite and galena.
