Geological Summary
All rock units encountered within the Pothook area are varieties of the Triassic Iron Mask Intrusions or contemporaneous Nicola volcanics. The Pothook deposit, 2 093 000 tonnes at 0.39 per cent copper, 0.58 grams per tonne gold, occurs in fine-grained pyroxene diorite exhibiting typical potassic and propylitic alteration. Copper minerals are bornite, chalcopyrite, chalcocite and native copper.
