Geological Summary
Weakly metamorphosed intermediate volcanics and sediments of the Devonian-Mississippian Eagle Bay Formation are intruded by granitic rocks of the Cretaceous Baldy Batholith. Conformable sulphide bands consisting of pyrite, pyrrhotite and lesser chalcopyrite are found at two separate localities and have been investigated by drilling, trenching and tunnelling. Recent sampling indicates low grade gold values associated with one of the areas of old showings.
