Geological Summary |
Argillaceous shale belonging to the Myra Formation and basalt and chert of the Karmutsen Formation are juxtaposed by a major northwest structural break that is comprised of a quartz-carbonate filled fault breccia. Indications of epigenetic precious metal mineralization (14.3 and 10.3 grams per tonne silver) are found in narrow east-northeast trending shears within the basalt.
