Geological Summary

Regionally the area is largely underlain by Knob Hill Group (Paleozoic) andesites which are fault-bound to the east by serpentinite of unknown age. Potential for gold mineralization is indicated by anomalous gold values in silt samples (1985) and somewhat coincident VLF electromagnetic/magnetic anomalies sub-parallel to the creek.
