Geological Summary
Rocks underlying the property are greenish khaki impure Creston blocky bedded (0.3 to 0.5 metres thick) quartzites with thin argilla- ceous interbeds, at an attitude of 045/85NW. Major and minor faults cut the Purcell series rocks. Minor "step" block faulting and flat Laramide thrust faulting also cut across the moderately to steeply dipping Purcell rocks of the area. Both flat and step faults are marked by quartz veins, and slightly earlier ankerite or ankerized diorite sills. Veins are either barren or carry gold- quartz-sulphides. Present survey results show definitely sub-economic values of gold even in gravity concentrate.
