Geological Summary |
The claims are underlain by Upper Paleozoic to Jurassic felsic and mafic volcanics and volcaniclastics and cherty clastic sediments of the Alexander terrane. They form a homoclinal sequence that trends northerly and dips moderately to the east. These rocks have been intruded by diorite and granodiorite. The cherty clastic sediments are the dominant host for zinc, copper, nickel, silver, lead, and other base metal mineralization.
