Geological Summary |
The Ave claims are underlain by a complex sequence of Mesozoic sedimentary and volcanic rocks situated between the Yalakom and Taseko Fault systems. The sequence is intruded by Eocene felsite and feldspar porphyry stocks and dykes. Epithermal mineralization accompanies shearing, contact metamorphism and intense alteration in the vicinity of a steeply dipping, northwesterly trending porphyry dyke system on the north bank of Tyaughton Creek.
