Geological Summary
The claim is underlain by a package of northerly trending sedimentary and volcanic rocks of late Paleozoic and Mesozoic age. These include sediments and their metamorphic equivalents of the Milford and Slocan Groups. Interbedded between them are the metamorphic volcanics of the Triassic Kaslo Group. Also intruding the preceeding is the Cretaceous-Jurassic Nelson Batholith and related dykes. Tertiary mineralization is in quartz veins and replacements along fractures in limestone and consists of galena, sphalerite and pyrite.
