Geological Summary
Permian-Pennsylvanian Cache Creek Group metasediments striking westerly and dipping steeply north are intruded by a hornblende diorite stock on the northeast side of the property. Some hornfelsing and skarnification of the lime-rich sediments has resulted. Gold, silver, and arsenic values occur in anomalous amounts associated with pyrite-bearing quartz veinlets cutting through fractured, bleached, limonite and manganese stained limy metasediments. Northwest faulting (333 degrees) of possible Tertiary age appears to control the emplacement of the quartz veinlets.
