Mt. Davidson at the southern end of the Fawnee Range consists of a volcanic pile of rhyolite, andesite, argillites and associated tuffs and breccias covered by glacial drift from the west. The rocks are identified as Tertiary Ootsa Lake Group or possibly Lower Jurassic Hazelton Group.
