Geological Summary
Nephrite bands and lenses occur at the contact of sheared serpentine of Permian or Triassic age and metasedimentary rocks of the Permian-Pennsylvanian Cache Creek Group. A thin band of high quality jade also occurs as a steeply dipping vein-like zone at the contact of serpentine and a leucocratic phase of a granodiorite sill of probable Cretaceous age.
