Geological Summary
The property covers the Riddle Creek Tertiary basin which is in- filled with andesite, phonolite and trachyte flows and pyroclastics of the Eocene Marron Formation. The Tertiary volcanics have been gently folded into asymmetrical anticlines and synclines striking east-southeast. A thick (30 metre) tuffaceous unit lies at shallow depth below the uppermost trachyte flows over a 3 square kilometre area. The tuff is highly kaolinite altered and locally silicified, and it is thought that it may host epithermal gold mineralization near hydrothermal vents in a manner similar to that observed on the newly discovered Vault gold property at Okanagan Falls 30 kilometres to the southeast.
