The claims are underlain by Upper Cretaceous Coast Plutonic Complex intrusives ranging in composition from granite to migmatite with inclusions of older sedimentary rocks and greenstone. The area has been subjected to faulting, shearing and fracturing. Silicification occurs in areas of fissure-filling quartz veins.
