The claims are underlain by Jurassic shale, greywacke and conglomerate bounded by Upper Triassic Takla Group volcanics and sediments intruded by Tertiary syenitic rocks. Sulphide mineralization occurs in volcanics peripheral to and in the syenite stock, in black argillites and in quartz veins. Silicic and argillic alteration occurs in the volcanics and syenite.
