Mafic volcanics and pelites of the Lower Pennsylvanian to Lower Permian Chilliwack Group are imbricated with a group of metamorphic rocks of varying textures and compositions in a north-east trending belt. The Paleozoic rocks to the east are intruded by granodiorites to quartz diorites of the Mid-Tertiary Chilliwack Pluton.
