Geological Summary
The claims are predominantly underlain by Triassic and older volcanic and sedimentary rocks which have been intruded by granodiorites of the Upper Cretaceous Coast Plutonic Complex and older, possibly subvolcanic diorite plugs. Calc-silicate hornfels has formed along the granodiorite contact and invariably contains < 5 per cent pyrite with very subordinate chalcopyrite and pyrrhotite.
