Geological Summary |
Intense acid sulphate alteration of postulated Eocene age is apparent from sparse outcrop alongside the Trans Canada Highway. Gypsum veining is common within and crosscutting the Jurassic volcaniclastic sequence. The main exposures (north and south showings) are within 250 metres of the highway and are exposed over a 200 by 300 metre area.
