Geological Summary
The Bevan group is underlain by Upper Triassic and older Karmutsen volcanics. The volcanic series here is basalts of intermediate to basic composition, pillows, tuff, and breccia. Copper and gold anomalies are associated with pyrite, pyrrhotite, and siliceous altered zones, two to three metres in width, and are shallow to steeply dipping.
