Geological Summary
The oldest rocks on the Gab 11 and 12 claims occur in the northeast corner of the Gab 12 and are comprised of Paleozoic sedimentary and volcanic rocks. Stratigraphically above these units are Mesozoic argillite/greywacke/siltstone/conglomerate and andesite agglomerates. Quartz porphyry stocks, syenite-syenodiorite plugs and feldspar porphyry dykes cut the older rocks. Gold occurs in iron-carbonate and pyrite veins and pods and also in massive, fine to coarse-grained pyrite and magnetite.
