| Geological Summary |
Metamorphosed pelitic sedimentary rocks and volcanic rocks of the Leech River Formation are occasionally cut by granodiorite dykes. The rocks trend east-west with sub-vertical dips. Mineralization in the Discovery Zone consists of sub-parallel, narrow quartz veins in which pockets of native gold are present with minor sulphides, especially arsenopyrite.
