West-dipping gneisses of the Precambrian Aldridge Formation intruded by (or partly metamorphosed to) granodiorite were reported in BCMM Annual Report of 1919 to host a mineralized zone carrying chalcopyrite, pyrite, minor lead, zinc and silver. Mapping of the area did not succeed in finding old diggings or any signs of sulphide mineralization. The showings probably occurs farther east.
