Geological Summary
Upper Triassic Nicola Group volcanics and sediments are intruded by serpentinized ultramafic rocks along regional northwest trending faults. Alteration zones (carbonate, silica) are thought to be signs of epithermal systems. Drilling indicates strong mercury mineralization associated with some weak silver values in one zone. Cinnabar, chalcopyrite, barite and some chalcedonic silica occurs.
