Geological Summary
The eastern portion of the claim block is underlain by the Upper Cretaceous Coast Plutonic Complex consisting of quartz monzonite, granodiorite, gabbro and granite. The lower elevations are predominantly underlain by a series of Lower Jurassic volcanics and sediments of the Hazelton Group. The western portions appear to contain the Hazelton Group sequence and two stages of intrusive activity.
