Geological Summary |
The claims are within the Shuswap metamorphic complex of Pre- Cambrian to Lower Paleozoic age and are underlain by metasediments and calc-silicate rocks. Locally thick beds (averaging 200 feet) of marble, calc-silicate gneiss and quartzite are seen complexly folded and faulted, striking generally north-northeast and dipping southeast. Foliation is subparallel to the layering.
