Geological Summary
The underlying rocks are of the Upper Paleozoic oceanic crust, which are correlated with the Cache Creek Group. These rocks are intruded by a suite of Mississippian-Pennsylvanian serpentinized ultramafics. Mineralized quartz-talc alteration assemblages occur where east-northeast trending faults crosscut serpentinite.
