Geological Summary
The area is underlain by granite and granodiorite of the Cretaceous-Jurassic Nelson Plutonic Rocks and/or Valhalla Intrusions. Galena, tetrahedrite and silver mineralization occurs in quartz fissure veins in extensive and persistent shear zones that have strikes of 035 to 055 degrees and dips of 35 to 55 degrees southeast. Mineralization has been traced for a strike length of 2100 metres between the elevations of 1670 and 2040 metres.
