Geological Summary |
According to government geological mapping, Valhalla intrusives underlie the Expo 7 and 8 claims, however, mapping by MacDonald (1977) shows Kamloops Group andesite and basalt two kilometres east of the Expo 7 and 8 claims and these may extend on to the claim group. The Expo 7 and 8 claims are shown as having granodiorite, granite, minor diorite, gabbro and quartz diorite. This unit is in the Valhalla type plutonic rocks and is considered to be of Mesozoic age (100 my).
