Geological Summary
Upper Triassic Karmutsen basaltic volcanics and Jurassic Island intrusions underlie the claims. These rocks are cut by faults and associated ankerite shear zones. Local copper skarn mineralization and gold bearing quartz veins have been located along silicified contacts and along faults. Anomalous gold values are also associated with minor quartz veinlets and pyrite in granodiorite.
