Geological Summary
The claims are underlain by Upper Cretaceous or Lower Tertiary hornblende-biotite quartz monzonitew of the Coast Mountain Plutonic Complex. The quartz monzonite has been overlain and intruded by Eocene volcanics and related feeder pipes and dykes of the Bennett Lake Cauldron Complex. The rocks are commonly shattered and brecciated along the caldron margins and adjacent to faults and dykes. Mineralization consists of pyrite with minor galena, sphalerite and chalcopyrite occurring in quartz veins.
