Geological Summary
A roof pendant of metavolcanics and metasediments of Permo- Carboniferous age is intruded by Mesozoic granites. Skarn is developed near the granitic contact. Pyritic and sericitic alteration occurs peripheral to shears. Mineralization consists of narrow seams and blebs of sphalerite and galena with traces of gold in partings and veinlets in shear zones. A 25-40 centimetre thick bed of skarn is exposed over a strike length of 40 metres.
