Geological Summary
Jurrassic age Bonanza volcanics, largely andesitic tuffs, are intruded and mineralized by feldspar porphyry dykes. Strong hydrothermal alteration and sulphide mineralization are related to fracturing adjacent to the intrusives. Economic sulphides are chalcopyrite and molybdenite. Gold is also very important.
