Highly deformed, hornfelsed, fine-grained sedimentary rocks have been intruded by a syenitic to granitic pluton. The intrusion has resulted in extensive quartz-sericite-magnetite alteration. Potentially economic mineralization comprises quartz stockwork with gold-bearing pyrite, chalcopyrite, and quartz-molybdenite veins.
