Geological Summary
Moderate to steep easterly dipping Anarchist Group meta- sediments and metavolcanics of Permian and/or Triassic age are intruded by granodiorite (Nelson Intrusion) and quartz monzonite (Valhalla Intrusions) of Cretaceous(?) age. Narrow (0.5-1.0 metres) shear zones cutting both the Anarchist and Nelson rocks are in-filled with mineralization consisting of pyrite, galena, sphalerite, and arsenopyrite pockets in a gangue of quartz and calcite. Rich precious metal values (silver up to 10 000 grams per tonne and gold up to 35 grams per tonne) are associated with the sulphide mineralization extends only tens of centimetres into the country rock.
