The property is centered on a small plug of Coryell-type intrusive within the Cretaceous Nelson Batholithic Complex. The stock is cut by leucocratic porphyry masses and dykes related to porphyritic Valhalla quartz monzonite. A "central alteration zone" of fracture-controlled quartz-sericite alteration represents a hydrothermal centre. Peripheral chlorite alteration surrounds this zone.
