The property is underlain by (Cambrian-Hadrynian) paragneiss and schist which forms a plunging fault bounded anticline. Concordant and discordant pegmatites are common. Scheelite occurs in calc silicate units. Other mineralization includes tourmaline, pyrite, pyrrhotite and chalcopyrite in skarns.
