Underlain by a gently warped sequence of siltstones, limy mudstones calciturbidites, and distal ash tuffs ranging in age from Hadrynian (?) to Devonian. Scattered showings of tetrahedrite, sphalerite, barite, and fluorite have been found associated with Cambrian and Silurian fetid limy mudstone.
