Geological Summary
Dominant lithology is granite to granodiorite of the Nelson pluton. The granite is commonly cut by aplite-pegmatite dykes varying from 10 cm to 3 m in width. The dykes are quartz monzonite to granite in composition and usually strike north, northeast and north, northwest. Strongly magnetic diabase occurs as north trending dykes near the eastern edge of the claim areas; a small plug of gabbro is near the centre.
