Geological Summary |
A northwest trending pendant of highly deformed Paleozoic(?) metasedimentary and metavolcanic rocks are bounded on the east by the Jensen Peak Batholith (Early Cretaceous), and on the west by the Fleet Peak Batholith (Early Jurassic). Quartz lenses, pods, veins and stringers occupying a northwesterly striking shear zone contain pyrite, chalcopyrite and galena.
