| Geological Summary |
The underlying rocks are the Bridge River metasediments and fragmentals intercalated with phyllites and micaceous quartzite with minor lenses of recrystallized limestone. Smaller areas of greenstone consist of foliated andesitic tuffs and flow rocks. These older rocks are cut by serpentinized peridotite, talc-serpentine, talc-carbonate, and narrow granodiorite dykes. Free gold occurs in quartz stringers.
